W00T!

I'm not sure I have the linguistic capacity to describe our amazing wedding weekend. So I'll just leave it at that :)

The Final Countdown!

(cue heroic synthesizer riff)

Wedding shenanigans start today!

I actually feel pretty good. I'm excited and a tiny bit tense, but nothing close to the wholesale panic some brides go through. I've been sleeping well and have a good appetite. Things will go as they may!

Still Alive!

I managed to squeeze a ten day project into five days of insanity. Part of me is relieved it's over and I can concentrate fully on wedding stuff now. Another part of me feels bad for those who now have to support my release while I'm out. I'm pretty sure it's riddled with random issues that nobody could have caught in the condensed timeline!

Murphy's Law

We have a transaction that's been delayed for several months. A few weeks ago, I joked that we would close at the worst possible time: right before my wedding.

Fuckit, I shouldn't have said anything...

Two weeks before the big day, the deal closes. Today. At 5 PM.

So not only will I be scrambling to get all the myriad wedding tasks done over the next few days, but I'll be onboarding our biggest client of the year as well. As if I didn't have enough to do!

Sometimes the universe just needs to give it a rest!

Veggies Week #14

Lots of green beans this week! And also fresh dill, which we used to flavor grilled salmon.

A whole bunch of beets and two lovely eggplants.

Behold, more tomatoes! Cherry and grape, along with three huge heirlooms. The heirloom tomatoes definitely have a more "meaty" texture than supermarket ones. They are actually great by themselves, sliced and brushed with olive oil, then sprinkled with fresh herbs and grilled.

Leeks in the back, along with an assortment of peppers and a fresh garlic bulb.
