One Cannot Survive on Veggies Alone!

Having been completely satisfied with our CSA membership last year, we've signed up again for this year's harvest.

In addition to veggies, we've also decided to try some local meat. In this case, pork and beef from a farm in northern New Jersey (separate from the veggie farm). We have reserved a whole pig and 1/2 cow, to split between a few people. If all goes well, that means at least 75 lbs of pasture fed meat for our share. The animals won't be ready to butcher until fall, which gives us time to redo our garage for some hefty freezer action.

I'm really excited about this - the local veggies turned out to be a great investment both for health and culinary enjoyment. Hopefully the meat will have the same results!

Awesome. Kim and I are going to sign up for summer produce from a local farm this year, too.

I think you have a typo or two. What you really mean to say is that you have a whole pork tree and half a beef tree reserved for harvesting in the fall.

Please nod and say yes. Otherwise, I may cry.
